I arrived at around 10.30 Am (I said I would arrive early but the desk satff said there was no record of this) but my original room was not ready. The lady at the reception said I should wait till 14.30 for my room. I protetsted about this as I was a tired traveller but she was very adamant. However a little later when I spoke again to the other receptionist she checked up her charts and informed me she would 'upgrade' me to a new room without delay. I thought this was excellent but later discovered that the 'uppgraded' room did not have hot water. I was asked to shower in another room in the morning and then come back to the room allocated. This went on for the whole morning whereupon I was then given another room that had running hot water on the third floor. This room was OK but it was inbetween landings which required walking up and down several stairs something which caused me distress as I had an injured foot. The continental breakfast was very sparse and thin. One plate of cold roast beef and one plate of cooked ham in way of meats. No continental salamis or sausages and no eggs at all. At least boiled eggs should be available. This is a 2 star continental breakfast they have right now! Cereals were OK but the fruit bowl was always sparse and often empty.I am an experienced traveller having worked for Ericsson, the Swedish phone company for 20 years and have stayed at many hotels. This is the first hotel in the 4 and 5 star class where I was allocated a room without hot water and asked to shower in another room which was a great inconvenience. There were also some other minor fittings that were not in good order. I think this hotel should check each room thoroughly before allocating guests and that the front desk staff should be told to be more respectful. I can reccomend this hotel only if the facilities are improved and the continental breakfast improved. Its a nice little hotel and its a pity that these things I mention spoil it all.

Array of pubs, museums, shops, galleries, in the Picadilly area which is a walking distance away. Soho is also close with their famous Chinese cusine. Albert and Victoria M., Hyde Park, green Park and Buckingham palace very close by. Green Park Tube station just around the corner. Street vendors selling great oil paintings on the curb in front of the main street (Picadilly) an additional attraction.

Our initial room (104) is situated on same street as nightclub and found it very noisy. Staff were very obiliging and moved us to 423 for our second night stay. A slightly larger and better room I might add.
We were on buffet breakfast deal but opted to have full English...very nice and only cost an extra £2.00 each per breakfast! Excellent value.

This hotel is situated in great location. This is our second time to stay here. You can walk to a lot of sights i.e. Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Picaddilly Circus and Leicester Square to name a few.
